To stop the outbreak of the Corona virus, the district administration of Shangla has formed a committee to collect data of Chinese residents in the district.
According to the additional deputy commissioner, the committee has been constituted at a meeting of officers of the health department, which will collect the data of Chinese residents. During the meeting the local administration was directed to monitor the movements of Chinese in the district.
Thr Shangla district administration and health department have jointly initiated precautionary measures and a separate ward has also been set up at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Basham to cope with emergency situation.
He added that no cases have been reported from Shangla or nearby areas at present, but the main city of Shangla borders China through the Silk Road, and Chinese citizens use this route permanently due to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Thousands of Chinese people also work in the country that’s why the officials fear any possible outbreak of the deadly Corona Virus.
