PESHAWAR: At least 10 people were killed and 27 were injured in a passenger bus bombing in Jalalabad, Afghanistan.
According to a foreign news agency AFP report, Nangarhar governor’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani said the bomb was planted in a motorcycle and was blown up as the passenger bus passed by.
He said ’10 civilians, including a child, were killed and 27 injured’ in the blast.
According to the report, the statement released after the incident did not specify how many soldiers were injured or only civilians were injured in the blast.
Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Nusrat Rahimi confirmed the killings.
It should be remembered that the war began in retaliation after the September 11, 2011 attacks in the United States in Afghanistan and it has now been 18 years, but peace has not yet been restored in Afghanistan.
