PESHAWAR: Chairman Pakistan People’ Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has once again strongly criticised the prime minister and his Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) of being ‘selected’ and ‘incompetent’ to govern the country.

He was talking with media persons at Peshawar press club on Friday where former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani, PPP KP president Humayun Khan and MPA Nighat Orakazai was also present.

The PPP Chairman accused the PTI government of conspiring to roll back the 18th constitutional amendment that has guaranteed autonomy and rights to federating units. He accused that PTI wants to further strengthen the centre at the expense of provinces. He made it clear that his party will never compromise and will strongly resist if the government tried to roll back the 18th amendment.

“PPP has struggled for democracy during dictatorship ship of Zia and Musharaf era,” said Bilawal “To expose the ‘puppets’ government, I will soon start his country-wide visits.”

Bilawal said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto dedicated her life for the establishment of a strong federation during her 30 years-long struggle. Bilawal said that PPP has shaped Benazir’s vision in the form of the 18th amendment and NFC award.

Bilawal Bhutto said that currently, the whole country is under censorship, where only a single narrative is allowed. He said that with the IMF budget the federal government has provided relief to wealthy people, putting poor under the burden.

Bilawal said that some quarters are doing propaganda related to NFC award and shares for the merged districts. He said that with the merger the indicators such as population, poverty in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will change, and so will be the ratio of the fund to the province. He said that the only reason for the propaganda is to erupt disputes among provinces and increase the share of the federal government. Bilawal said that if Imran Khan is committed to tribal people he should increase their budget by 1000 %.

He said that Imran Khan has a fear of free and fair election. He accused that election rigging has already begun. Bilawal said that in the presence of section 144 in tribal areas, how a free and fair election is possible. He said that section 144 is just limited to the opposition candidates, while the PTI candidates are busy in election campaign without hurdles.

Bilawal Bhutto also criticized the election commission for its decision to post Army inside the polling stations with magisterial powers which will damage the Army name.
