Islamabad: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan has said that KP remained a trade hub historically, the incumbent government is taking all possible steps to make the province again a regional hub for trade and commercial activities.
Chief Minister Mehmood Khan expressed these views while addressing to China Pakistan Economic Corridor Joint Cooperation meeting held at a local hotel in Islamabad. Mehmood Khan stated that through CPEC the doors of KP enormous natural resources and beautiful scenic sites will be open for investors. He added that the completion of Suki Kinari hydel project, Rashakai Special Economic Zone, Havelian Thakot highway, and D۔I. Khan to Peshawar Expressway will bring huge opportunities of trade and industrialization.
Chinese Ambassador Yao Jong, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Mr Khosru Bakhtiyar, Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal, Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan, and KP Finance Minister Taimoor Saleem Jaghra also participated in the event.
Chief Minister Mehmood Khan also thanked Chinese government for their grants in socio-economic projects especially in health care, vocational training, agriculture and clean drinking water. He said that these projects will help the province to meet the gaps in health sector and poverty alleviation.
Chief Minister Mehmood Khan said that through KP Board of Investment, the province is preparing for the second roadshow in Bejing in 2020.
